Marjoram is in the mint family. It also needs to live in a hot enviornment to develop it's complete aroma. When dried, it does loose a little bit of it's flavor. Mainly the parts used are it's leaves, which can be made into essential oils, infusions, teas, poultices.
Marjoram has been historically used toanxiety, fatigue, preventing spasms in the digestive tract, cough, relieving pain on bruises, lumbago, and sprains, congestion caused by coughs and colds, and encouraging lactation in nursing mothers.
