This is the largest citrus fruit available, and is in the family of the sweet orange and the pummelo. The tree can grow over 33 feet high, and has glossy leaves that are large with dimpled, round, yellowish that are three to six inches in diameter. The whole fruit can be used, including the peel and seeds.
Historically Grapefruit has been used for an aid in weight reduction, muscle fatigue, promote hair growth, for acne and oily skin, cold, flu, headache, stress, depression, antiseptic for wounds, diarrhea, allergies, strep throat, to prevent or treat infection, and for boosting the immune system.
