A perennial that has many small, pale-lilac flowers that can grow 2-3 feet tall. The leaves are opposite, and cut into toothed lobes. The plant has no -perfume, and is slightly bitter and astringent in taste. This herb has been found growing in North America, and waste places throughout the United States and southern Canada.
Ailments used historically for Vervain are for treating headache, migraines, fever, ulcers, rheumatism, asthma, colds, skin infections, diarrhea, gallstones, mouth ulcers, insect bites, and can help increase the flow of a mother's milk(do not use during pregnancy).
